The study explores ways to maintain sustainable extraction of non-wood forest products as well as to conserve biodiversity.This is done by analysing some selected ecological and socio-economic factors that affect their sustainable management, on thebasis of results of studies carried out in 3 moist forest areas of Kerala, viz. Wayanad, Nilambur and Attappady. A list of 119 non-wood forest product species is presented, giving the local common name and the scientific name
