New addition to the flora of KFRI, Euryale ferox (Makhana or Fox nut) from Ahaliya Foundation, Palakkad. With Dr K Haridasan, Sabik, Saibu & Dr P Sujanapal, and Dr UM Chandrasekhara of KFRI.
Makhana seeds are highly nutritious, high in protein, fiber, magnesium, and calcium, while being low in fat and sodium. Rich in antioxidants that offer anti-ageing benefits and support heart health.
