Conservation & Development Of Medicinal Plants & Benefit Sharing With Local Communities


Kerala forest Institute in the financial assistance from Ministry of Environment and forest, Govt. of India is organizing on week-long compulsory training program on "CONSERVATION AND DEVELOPMENT OF MEDICINAL PLANTS AND BENEFIT SHARING WITH LOCAL COMMUNITIES" to IFS officers. The training program was inaugurated by Dr.N. Krishna Kumar, Former head of forest force, Tamilnadu. Dr. Syam Viswanath, Director, KFRI presided and Dr.R.V Varma, Dr. T.V. Sajeev, Dr.A.V.Raghu spoke. The Research material prepared on Medicinal plant cultivation and conservation was released by Dr.N. Krishna Kumar and received by Dr. R. V. Varma. Dr. Muhammed Kunhi, Programme co-ordinator, Extension, and Training Division welcomed the gathering and Sri. V.P. Raveendran, Senior Scientist proposed the vote of thanks.
