Junior Research Fellow (No. R752/KFRI/Estt/2018)

A walk-in interview to fill the post of Junior Research Fellow  to join a time-bound research programme on "Biodiversity Characterisation at Community Level in India Using Earth Observation Data" will be held at 10.00 am onward on 29th May 2018, at KFRI . Candidates who satisfy the eligibility criterion mentioned below are invited to attend the interview. Please bring testimonials in original.

      Essential qualification : First Class Masterís Degree in Environmental Science /      Geoinformatics / Geography / Forestry / Climate Change
Desirable : 1.  UGC, CSIR NET
                        2.      Research experience in remote sensing, data processing and GIS analysis
                        3.   Experience in doing field research in forests and remote areas
Fellowship : Rs.25,000/- + 10% HRA per month for the first and second year and Rs.28,000/- + 10% HRA per month for the third and fourth year if NET qualified otherwise Rs.22,000/-

Essential qualification : First Class Masterís Degree in Botany / Environmental Science / Forestry
Desirable : 1. UGC, CSIR NET
                        2.     Research experience in taxonomic inventorying in forests
                        3.     Experience in doing field research in forests and remote areas
Fellowship : Rs.25,000/- + 10% HRA per month for the first and second year and Rs.28,000/- + 10% HRA per month for the third and fourth year if NET qualified otherwise Rs.22,000/-
Common criteria/rule
Duration       :     One year (may be extended based on performance)
Age           :     As on 01.01.2018, 35 years (those who are born on or after 01.01.1983). Age relaxation of five years in the case of scheduled caste/scheduled tribe candidates and three years in the case of other backward communities as per government rules will be given.
