Nine species out of 22 native bamboos of Kerala are found widely used in the traditional and handicraft industry in Kerala. All the available information on each species of bamboo used for handicrafts in Kerala with regard to their properties and uses, accompanied by brief morphological description for easy identification are provided. This publication will be of help to all those who are concerned with bamboo and bamboo products.
