Consutlancy

KFRI undertake research and consultancy programmes for national and international agencies on issues relating to biological conservation and management of natural resources. KFRI has a team of expert scientists supported by skilled personnel in various fields, including documentation, accounting, administration, and engineering.

KFRI Offers the following services

1. Conducts research on problem subjects in forestry and environment suggested by various agencies, including State Government departments.
2. Undertakes research on long-term research agenda.
3. Performs Environmental Impact Assessment of development projects
4. Provides expert opinion on disputed ecological issues to the Judiciary
5. Investigate problematic forestry/environmental issues.
6. Assists the State Government/Government Departments in framing forestry-related developmental projects and programmes
7. Explores and documents new plant, animal and microbial species

Ongoing Consultancy Projects

1. Detailed Project Report (DPR) for availing climate finance support for the eco-restoration of the monoculture plantations in Kerala - Component 1: Strategies for eco-restoration of territorial forestes. Component 2: Strategies for eco-restoration of protected areas.
