Study of birds is interesting to all alike. A total of 486 species of birds belonging to 66 families have been reported from the Sate. Distribution of each species with the indication of residential or visitor is indicated .Common names of each species is also given.This is a consolidated list of birds found in Kerala. Birdwatchers and students of wildlife will be much benefited by this publication.
