Dr. Raghu A. V. is an eminent scientist with over two decades of multi-disciplinary experience spanning forestry, medicinal plant conservation, phytochemistry, and tribal empowerment through Science, Technology, and Innovation (STI) interventions. As a prominent facilitator and Principal Investigator, he has pioneered sustainable product value chains, notably securing Geographical Indication (GI) registrations and technical defenses for traditional tribal handicrafts. His extensive portfolio includes helming major research and extension programs funded by prestigious national and state agencies such as MoEF&CC, DST, NABARD, SMPB etc. A proven administrative and academic leader, Dr. Raghu has served as Co-Chairperson for the State Planning Board's working groups, a SEAC member, and Chairman of University Boards of Studies in Forestry. Committed to science communication and mentorship, he actively guides doctoral research, serves on national academic committees, and is widely published in reputable international journals.
