Dr. Sandeep, a Soil Scientist with a PhD in Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry from IARI, New Delhi, specialises in radioisotopes and soil carbon sequestration in the Indo–Gangetic Plains. Has led nationally and internationally funded projects on forest soils, organic matter chemistry, nutrient interactions, pedogenesis, and carbon dynamics in natural and managed forests. Dr. Sandeep has coordinated FAO and IUFRO-funded projects across South Asia, including forest carbon and health assessments, as well as capacity-building initiatives in Myanmar. He currently serves as the TEAKNET Coordinator, an FAO-supported global network with members spanning 43 countries.
