Dr. Soorya is involved in hydrological studies of various eco-restoration sites. Her research focuses on soil-water-plant interactions, hydrologic modelling, parameter estimation, and the impacts of climate change on water resources. Before joining KFRI, Soorya worked as a Junior Research Fellow at the School of Water Resources, IIT Kharagpur (2017-2018). She received the SERB Overseas Visiting Doctoral Fellowship during her PhD studies to carry out part of her PhD work at Purdue University, USA.
