Biochemistry lab

The Biochemistry/Phytochemistry Laboratory is part of the Forest Ecology and Biodiversity Conservation Division. Major activities in the lab include phytochemical studies on medicinal plants, in-virto mechanistic studies of plant metabolites, and biochemical studies on the impact of pesticides on the terrestrial environment.

The Biochemistry/Phytochemistry Laboratory is well-equipped with a variety of advanced tools, including a Fluorescent Microscope, Spectrophotometer, Gel electrophoresis system and documentation system, Rotary Evaporator, Laminar air flow, Fume hood, -20 Deep freezer, and Circulating Water bath, among others.
