Pachathuruthu (Green Islet) Inaugurated at Pananchery
We are delighted to share that Dr. Kannan C. S.
Warrier, Director, KFRI, inaugurated the establishment of a Pachathuruthu (Green Islet) on 25th October as part of the Urban Forestry Initiatives of Pananchery Grama Panchayat.
KFRI provided the planting materials and technical support under the leadership of Dr. V. B. Sreekumar, Principal Scientist, KFRI.
The event was presided over by the Honourable Panchayat President Shri P. P. Raveendran.
This collaborative effort marks another step towards enhancing green cover and promoting ecological balance in urban areas.
