One-day hands-on training workshop on Lac Insect Cultivation
KFRI organized a one-day hands-on training workshop on Lac Insect Cultivation, aimed at building capacity and spreading awareness on sustainable lac production and its ecological significance.
The inaugural session was graced by Dr. Kannan C. S. Warrier, Director, KFRI, who delivered the presidential address. The welcome address was given by Dr. T. V. Sajeev, Chief Scientist, KFRI. Participants also benefited from an engaging technical presentation by Dr. S. MuthukumAR, followed by a visit to the Lac Insect Museum and Lac Insect Host Plant Gene Bank.
Participants had the opportunity to gain practical exposure, exchange ideas, and strengthen collaboration in forest-based livelihood initiatives.
