The Kerala Forest Research Institute (KFRI) played a pivotal role at the National Conference on Bamboo and Medicinal Plants, held at Loka Seva Bhawan, Bhubaneswar today. The event was organized by the Odisha Bamboo Development Agency (OBDA) and the State Medicinal Plants Board.
Highlights of our participation:
๐ค MoU Exchange: A significant Memorandum of Understanding was exchanged between our Director, Dr. Kannan C. S. Warrier, and Shri. Karthick Vethamoorthy, IFS (Chief Conservator of Forests & Project Director, OBDA) to foster collaboration in bamboo research.
The exchange took place in the esteemed presence of the Honourable Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Odisha, Shri. Ganesh Ram Shingh Khuntia, during the National Conference on Bamboo and Medicinal Plants held at Loka Seva Bhawan, Bhubaneswar.
๐ A Gift of Heritage: The Kannadippaya:
In a special moment, the KFRI team presented the traditional 'Kannadippaya' to the Hon. Minister for Forest and Environment, Odisha and Shri. Satyabrata Sahu, IAS (Additional Chief Secretary).
