World Ozone Day 2026 Observance at KFRI
The Seminar Committee of KSCSTE–Kerala Forest Research Institute (KFRI) organized a seminar on September 16, 2026, to observe World Ozone Day under the theme "Global Action for a Cooler Planet" at the Tectona Hall, Peechi.
The program was inaugurated by Dr. Kannan C. S. Warrier, Director of KSCSTE-KFRI, who delivered the focal theme address emphasizing climate action and environmental protection. Dr. Sinan Nizar, Scientist at KSCSTE–Institute for Climate Change Studies (ICCS), Kottayam, delivered an invited lecture highlighting the impacts of ozone depletion and global mitigation strategies.
Earlier, Dr. Donald James, Scientist, KSCSTE-KFRI, welcomed the gathering. The session concluded with an active interactive discussion among scientists, researchers, and participants.
