One-week compulsory training program for in-service IFS Officers

The one-week compulsory training program for in-service IFS Officers on โBamboo Resource Development for Addressing Livelihood Concerns in Communitiesโ concluded successfully at KFRI on 22 August 2025. The Valedictory Session was graced by Dr. Kannan C. S. Warrier, Director, KFRI, who addressed the gathering and appreciated the enthusiastic participation of officers from across the country. Officers shared their experiences and reflections during the session, highlighting the relevance of bamboo in eco-restoration and sustainable livelihood development.
As part of the concluding day, the officers also visited the Thrissur Zoological Park, Puthur.
The week-long program, financially supported by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEF&CC), provided a meaningful platform for knowledge exchange, field visits, and community interactions, further strengthening the role of bamboo in sustainable forestry and rural livelihoods.
