We are delighted to share the success of Workshop cum Training for School Students, held today, 19 February 2026, at the KSCSTE-KFRI Sub-centre, Nilambur.
This impactful program, themed "Green Innovations for a Sustainable Tomorrow," saw the enthusiastic participation of 100 students from 11 different schools. Organized for the NGC Ecoclubs, the initiative was proudly funded by the KSCSTE through the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEF&CC).
The day commenced with a welcome note and program briefing by Dr. Deepu Sivadas, Training Associate, followed by an inspiring inaugural address by Dr. Mallikarjuna Swami G. E., Scientist-in-Charge of the Nilambur Sub-centre. The session was further graced by felicitations from Mr. A. Abdurahman, the Education District Coordinator for National Green Corps (NGC) Malappuram. The technical segment featured a specialized lecture on Micropropagation for QPM Production in Banana by Mr. Vineesh, followed by an educational introduction to the Teak Museum & Bioresource Nature Park by Dr. Mallikarjuna Swami G. E.
After a field visit to these sites, the program concluded with a valedictory session including certificate distribution and a vote of thanks delivered by the Training Coordinator, Mr. Arun V. R
