Nurseries

KFRI has nurseries at Peechi, Nilambur and Velupadam, which are well equipped for seedling production of over 80 species of plants of which majority are indigenous tree species. In addition to providing research facilities to scientists, the nurseries cater to the needs of the public by producing and supplying quality seedlings of several tree, bamboo and rattan species on payment. These nurseries are useful demonstration sites for training programmes in tropical silviculture.
