Welcoming the future guardians of our forests

We were thrilled to host 57 Beat Forest Officer (BFO) trainees and their instructor from the Telangana State Forest Academy (TGSFA), Dullapally, Hyderabad, here at the Kerala Forest Research Institute (KFRI).
Their visit was a key part of their "South India Study Tour," aimed at expanding their field knowledge and exploring diverse regional forestry practices. During their time with us, Dr. A. V. Raghu, Senior Principal Scientist and Head,Extension and Training Division, led an engaging and insightful session, sharing valuable expertise to help equip these trainees for their crucial roles in forest conservation and management.
It is always a privilege to engage with young professionals and contribute to the capacity building of foresters from across the country. Wishing the trainees the very best as they continue their tour and their careers.
